If this was a cross-series thread I wouldn't have even bothered posting, but it is not. Your rules apply only to cross-series comparisons. The Dragonborn of course eventually defeated Alduin himself (albeit with help). Clavicus Vile told the Dragonborn that he was 'almost' as powerful as himself, when he had half of his power gone. And even if the Daedra do fear him, that doesn't mean all of the Daedra fear him. The quote from Alduin doesn't hold very much water. That Akatosh took some of his power away for going rogue? Maybe, but that just means that Alduin is that much weaker than Akatosh, that the latter can simply strip his powers away, which again, means that he is likely weaker than Dagon as well, whom Akatosh had to actually show up in person to battle, and was severely injured. What Paarthurnax said is interesting, but what does it really mean? That he's as powerful as Akatosh? I doubt it. That's like saying 'this fruit fly cannot hurt me, that means a rhino can't either.' If Dagon cant hurt Akatosh, I'm fairly confident that he can hurt Alduin worse. Being immune to the physical attacks from mortals is a far cry from being immune to the attacks of Dagon.
